Diversity is a foundational pillar of our workforce and represents a growing population in Canada. And, it's essential to help our organizations grow and succeed. By 2031, Statistics Canada projects that 63% of the population in Toronto will be visible minorities. So, how does one create and manage a high-performing and diverse team? How does one succeed in a diverse team?

Join us on November 14th for the Ascend Toronto event on "Diverse Perspectives: Managing, Navigating, and Excelling in the Workplace". At this event, you will gain insights on navigating glass ceilings for visible minorities, hear from senior leaders on how they managed diverse teams, and hear their advice on how to succeed in the workplace.

Yvonne Lae (moderator),
Director, Portfolio & Project Management, RBC Insurance
Yvonne is the Director of Portfolio and Project Management in the Strategy & Enablement team at RBC Insurance. She has over 10 years of experience spanning across multiple platforms such as Risk Management, Capital Markets, Finance, Personal & Commercial Banking, and Insurance. She is a passionate
change leader with proven records in accelerating and sustaining strategy implementation and ability to execute broad strategic vision. She holds a Biochemistry and Economics degree from the University of Waterloo, MBA from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Michael Lynds,
Managing Director, IRESS Canada
Michael Lynds is the Managing Director of IRESS Canada. He has over 18 years of Canadian financial community experience, spanning large global financial institutions and domestic boutique firms. His passion is inspiring change leadership in the financial services industry. He holds a BA in History from Western, an MBA from the University of Toronto, in addition to certifications and accreditation such as: FMA, CIM, FCSI, CIMA, AIFP, CIC and LLQP.

Vivek Khindria, Vice President IT Security & Risk, Loblaw Company Limited, CISSP, CISM, BSc Physics
Vivek Khindria is the Vice President IT Security & Risk, Loblaw Company Limited. His experience includes development and implementation of trading floor systems, Cyber strategies, securing software development, and big data analytics for security; he was also a significant contributor to the creation of the not-for-profit Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX.ca). Vivek is the elected representative for Canada on the Information Security Forum executive council, which is a member driven global organization comprised of Fortune 500 companies.

Hardeep Saund, Sr. Director, Strategy & Enablement, RBC Insurance
Hardeep Saund is a recognized strategic, innovative and continuous improvement leader dedicated and known for leading, coaching and mentoring high performing teams. He is an accomplished thought leader with over 10+ years of experience in developing, leading and executing operational excellence strategies focused on increasing productivity, decrease expenses and increasing revenue across various sectors including Financial Services, Manufacturing and the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
