Presence: How to use Yours to Increase Impact and Influence

Evelyn Chau is a Communications Strategist.  She began her coaching career working with high-performance athletes. Using mind-body techniques such as visualization, she helped them overcome worries and pre-game jitters.  She delivered mental training to a group of rising figure skaters that included the young Patrick Chan and sharpened his already formidable skills.  After delivering results for medalists in several sports, and a period working for the Provincial Government, she now specializes in an area that has been largely neglected: how experts can effectively communicate their expertise.

Born in Hong Kong, Evelyn grew up in a culture that taught her to be invisible. As a result, when she first came to Canada, she felt she lacked the techniques to be heard. She also noticed that people from non-English speaking countries tend to have very high education. However, they have never been taught by their professors the skills of communicating in a vivid and memorable way.

In this interactive presentation for Ascend, she will be delighted to share the techniques that will help you leverage your presence to impact and influence.
